recap: house sale.

The short recap: the first blouse house sale was a major success!

The longer recap:

Last Saturday, here at blouse headquarters, we had our very first blouse house sale! We brought out all the vintage from the shoppe ... and set up our own little store right here in Providence.

I learned that Jane is extremely gifted at folding blouses and that she is also a genius for thinking to add frozen raspberries to champagne. (sidenote: I also learned that as a shop owner, it is vital to limit the amount of delicious raspberry champagne consumed during store hours.)

After nearly two years of shipping vintage dresses and goodies off to imaginary women in faraway places, like Australia and Missouri, it was
so amazing to see women right in front of us, trying on our dresses! We highly enjoyed being able to oohhh and aahhh right in front these pretty ladies.

And not only was there plenty of vintage ... but we also served that delicious raspberry champagne (did I mention that already?) and heart shaped cookies, made by Jane. We put together a couple of vintage goodies-filled gift baskets to raffle off and we were lucky enough to even have a guest DJ for the day.

A big thank you to everyone that came out! We'll see you again .... think hot toddies in January with vintage coats!

Ladies, BEAUTIFUL job with the blouse house sale!!! It was absolutely stunning - just like being in a very fancy vintage boutique in the ritzy part of a big city! I forgot I was in Providence. :) The pictures show how much work you put into preparing, setting up, arranging, organizing, labeling, decorating, etc. The real life blouse shoppe was absolutely gorgeous, and I hope we get the chance to experience it again! Also...that raspberry champagne was to die for. ;D Love you girls!

Oh wow...looks like such a fabulous event! I surely would have gotten lost in all the beauty and gorgeous dresses. Your little touches such as the raspberries in the champagne really make the whole thing so unique and quite special. Love your photos and your blog:) xx Marisa
